Welcome

Welcome to the MR Technology and Methods Group at the Institute for Biomedical Engineering at the University and ETH Zurich.

The MR Technology group is dedicated to advancing magnetic resonance for biomedical research and healthcare applications. We focus on mechanisms, instrumentation, and methods for MR in humans, combining expertise in physics, engineering and the life sciences. Areas of particular interest include high-field MR, fast and dynamic MR imaging, detector design, magnetic field sensing, and signal processing.

Congratulations to Dr. Emily Bådsvik

Emily has been awarded the ETH medal for her PhD thesis "Mapping the Myelin Bilayer with Short-T2 Magnetic Resonance Imaging". Congratulations!

ESMRMB Awards

Congratulations to Oskar Björkqvist and Jason van Schoor on winning Outstanding Abstract Awards at the ESMRMB meeting in Barcelona! They were honored for their works on "Autonomous synchronization and calibration for field cameras" and "Direct collagen MRI".

Congratulations to Runpu Hao

Runpu has won the ETH Medal vor Master's theses. He received the award at the graduation ceremony on Friday, for his outstanding thesis on diffusion imaging with joint control of spectral and directional sensitivity.
